Jess and I thought it was a great idea to run out and leave the dogs alone. knowing full well of Layla's extreme appetite and ingenuity, we put a wrought iron chair in front of the cupboard containing the dog food. After an hour or so, we arrive home to find Layla and her bloated stomach! She had managed to move the chair and claw her way into wood cupboard. She had eaten roughly 3lbs. of dog food, 1/2 bag of pupperoni's. In addition, she and my Boston Terrier had also feasted on 1/2 pack of hot dog buns, and sliced open a bag of tortilla chips! Jess' vet suggested a teaspoon of hydogen peroxide to purge her stomach. It was so distended that she couldn't lie down (as you witnessed). We ended up with 10 brain sized piles of vomit all over my front lawn! At 10pm, Jess is out front cleaning up vomit while I stood in the door way with the flash light dry heaving!
