You shouldn’t be so hard on America Jeff. Remember that America is also your family and friends and all of the things you are so fascinated by that you have to write about them. There is still plenty to be proud of here and it seems to me that if you go around feeling ashamed then you are letting the negativity of your enemies undermine you.

Funny, I thought everyone knew about such frequent American “enhanced interrogation” practices as taking suspected Vietcong up hundreds of feet in helicopters and hanging them out the doors until they “confessed” –and often dropping them to their deaths whether they talked or not.
