I have had that exact beef sundae before! At the Mississippi State Fair. It was the most delicious thing ever. Mine had a bit less potatoes and a bit more meat and cheese. Succhh good gravvvyy on ittt. I usually eat healthy, but this. This is good.

The Gargano Peninsula – Italy’s chicken spur – has a delicacy called “spaghetti ice,” which immigrants then brought to rural Germany, specifically the Bad Kreuznach area. Think vanilla noodles topped with strawberry sauce and powdered-sugar “parm”… but the gag factor doesn’t really rival the milkshake.

pizza is already a pretty portable food…

pizza on a stick is like one of those ridiculous usb gadgets you don’t need, or an infomercial product that fills a need you didn’t have like the perfect pasta maker.

There used to be a restaurant here that served chili sundaes. They layered chili, sour cream and shredded cheese in a tall sundae glass, fritos on the side, and served it with one of those long-handled spoons so you could reach the bottom of the dish. It was actually pretty good.

So I could see hot beef sundae as a marketing gimmick, but pizza on a stick?

I shouldn’t read your blog on my lunchbreaks w/out IRL food. At the Md Ren Fest there’s mac & cheese on a stick, and (frozen) cheesecake on a stick, etc., but I’ve not seen pizza on a stick before.

Puts me in mind of those Jon Stewart comments about what those Jimmy Dean pancakes-and-sausage on a stick says about our culture.

And, though I love fat, pizza, and meat as much, or more, than the next guy, maybe it’s just the fact that I just put on five pounds in three days (not even sure what I ate that did it) that’s making these look not one bit appetizing.
